Smart devices are taking over the world. Smart TVs, smart watches, smart refrigerators – these machines are revolutionizing the way we do basic tasks from heating our homes to ringing our doorbells and everything in between.

And it's not a trend that's stopping, either. Now, we have smart toasters like the Revolution InstaGLO R180, with a "smart toasting algorithm" to ensure perfect toasting. There's the SmartPlate, which identifies the nutritional value of the food you place on it. We've even got a cocktail making device, the Bartesian cocktail maker, that is basically a Keurig machine for cocktails.

Some smart gadgets make sense, but some are just plain weird. In our opinion, these are the smart gadgets that are taking things too far.
