Some people in the community created a thing you can do stuff with. It's Smash Remix which is a fan-made rom hack of the original Super Smash Bros. and it's an impressively made, faithful adaptation of the current Smash formula we all know and love. They do occasional updates of the game and will advertise them in similar fashion to how Nintendo updates their most recent smash title. It's cute. Props.
This is the most recent update, 1.3 (Link to Release Below). Adds 2 new characters (Marina from Mischief Makers and King Deedeedee from Crystal Shards), some updates to Young Link(I don't like em), new levels, new solo play options, and pretty much the entirety of what was locked deep within Pandora's Box.
Despite subpar hardwares, I decided to play/record a "quick" 12 character battle for you all to see. I'm not very good at least compare to how ridiculous one can be at this game. There is a stage select which was too laggy for me to show so I edited those parts out. The projectiles are tiny because of my graphics plugin, NOT THE GAME. This may have something to do with my failure at using Marina's Down B attack; I could also be doing it wrong. She is actually supposed to shake the bag then whip out an item like she does in her game! Cute! Finally, I only show. like, max 10% of what this game has to offer. There are so many settings and options it's dizzying.
