SMILE (Super Metroid Integrated Level Editor) - 1) Introduction
178This is my first video on SMILE (so apologies for the amount of times I've said "umm" and "erm" in the video :p ). SMILE is a Super Metroid level editor that allows you to edit Super Metroid roms and make your own hack.
In this video, I give a general introduction to SMILE and the different options. It's quite a long video, but to introduce something as big as SMILE takes time! In the video I cover:
- How to place blocks
- How the clipboard works
- What BTS values are used for
- Brief overview of what events are used for
- The different layers in a room
- Map editing
- Show the items on the toolbar
These videos serve as an interactive guide for those who find reading some of the FAQs/ guides on SMILE a bit hard to follow. However, the guides go into a lot more detail than I have (and will ever) show, so feel free to check them out at www.metroidconstruction.com
