Personality:
Pretty much the same as her original personality, Sonia is a cheerful and polite girl who enjoys getting to know other people. Despite being somewhat strange and reckless/naive, she’s an overall kind and compassionate person who cares a lot about her friends and family.

Backstory:
Sonia was always a very curious kid. She always loved playing games like “adventurer ” or “detective” and exploring unknown areas, but when that curiosity led to her getting hit by a truck and barely escaping death, Sonia’s parents decided to completely isolate her to keep her safe. She was pretty much never allowed to leave the house and didn’t even get to go to public school and was instead homeschooled. She was lonely, but that didn’t kill her curious nature.

One day after hearing about a news story of a murderer that got caught after months of getting away with it, Sonia began to form an interest in criminal investigations. This curiosity made her decide to start watching true crime documentaries and read news stories about the crimes and horrors committed in the outside world. This interest became a huge hobby for her, and she developed a huge passion for it as a result.

One day when Sonia was around 15 she heard about a corrupt politician who was using his power to hurt innocent people. After hearing about this Sonia was really upset about the injustice, so she decided to do something about it. She did a ton of research on the politician and even got into contact with a few people connected to said politician. Eventually, she got enough information on him and wrote a page on it to criticize him, and once finished published it online.

Sonia’s work received a ton of attention to the point one of the local newspapers even wanted to officially publish it, which Sonia was more than thrilled about. After seeing how many people were interested in her work, Sonia decided to start researching and publishing more of her works on criminals/crimes and she eventually became a very well known investigative journalist throughout her country. Obviously, it wasn’t the easiest and as much as she received praise, she also often received criticism and anger online as well, but she didn’t care. For the first time in Sonia’s life, she didn’t feel trapped in isolation. She felt like she could actually do something.

Sonia’s work continued to get attention, however Sonia wanted to explore and write about more issues in other places and actually get to see the world for herself. So once she turned 16 after tons of begging and compromises, Sonia was able to convince her overprotective parents to let her live in Japan with her grandparents for at least a year and a half. Sonia was extremely grateful and excited, she was finally going to get to leave home.

Eventually after Sonia moved to Japan her works gained even more attention to the point she earned her ultimate from it. Sonia was happy with how her life was at the moment, what started as a small hobby became a job that she was genuinely happy with. It wasn’t all perfect and wholesome, but she found herself enjoying her job regardless.
