Even was so close to her sister, until her old "friend" Lucky ratted her out to Nanny Fortuna. Even and Dicey almost defeated Fortuna, but the bot they were on tilted, causing Even and Dicey to fall off and lose sight of each other. Dicey wasn't the only thing Even lost. After the fall she had a vision. In her vision Even saw her sister Odd push Lucky off after the Queen told her too, which caused Even to lose faith in her sister and decide to go back home instead of rescuing her. Desperate to get home, Even made a deal with one of the bag brothers so they'd smuggle her back to Onecroft. But as usual, something went terribly wrong!
