SnowRunner Yukon Ep.45 (Attempted to finish Factory Main with untested New Mods. I need to liedown!)
Beware... the echo is terrible. Windows screwed up my mic settings. Please see message below!!
Started out the video with showing off my latest new mods. That I have not even driven except from the garage to the parking lot.
Well, the Azov and the Maz are tested now and all I'm going to say is .... As soon as my dinner is ready, I'm going to take a couple Valium and lie down.
One thing that was my stupid mistake that kept me from completing the job after all the bull pucky I just did is I only made 1 piece of large pipe when the job wanted two. Otherwise, despite everything, the job would be done!!!!
Ok, I noticed the videos were looking fuzzy even though they were supposed to be 1080p.
I was using my video editing software to record those videos. I switched to the AMD Radeon Software that goes with my AMD Ryzen processor. I had used this before but got enormous file sizes and gave up on it, started using Windows Game Bar. Which worked good for a long time. Then Windows updated and game bar suddenly starts randomly crashing.
So starts the experimentation with Video Proc and Radeon.
Video Proc was creating files sizes in the neighborhood of 37gb for an hour of recording. I did some reading and found I could use an HEVC format to compress it, end up with 4.5gb file size, of course it varies. it looked ok but not the best.
Experimented with Radeon and found I could record in 3840x2160 4K with a file size of only (roughly) 4.2gb. I can control how many gb's per second it records at.
So I uploaded two or three of these 4k videos and discovered Youtube was taking 3 or 4 days to finish processing 4k 2160 resolution.
(Too bad the 4k takes so long to process, would be nice to have that option)
I did the last one in 1920x1080 and Youtube had finished processing HD1080p in a couple hours.
It looks real nice once it gets to 1080p HD. So I think I'm going to wait for processing to finish before I publish the video. Then you guys are not viewing a shitty looking product before processing finishes.
The mic echo.... That happened on a subsequent Windows update. Windows created a new Process in Device Manager that duplicated all my audio devices. So you were hearing me twice.
I've been working on that today and think I have it fixed. Find out for sure as soon as I'm able to make a little sound check video. I may turn up the game audio a bit if I have enough mic volume to not get drowned out.
Everybody.... Thanks for watching and hanging in there through this tough period.!!!!!
