After being genuinely asked this a few times, it felt time for a video! And whilst we're directing this to parents hoping to help achieve their children's Pokemon-related dreams without the considerable expense, these tips work just as well for any adult too – just substitute playground trading with workplace trading, and you're away!
In this video, we'll ask you whether your child wants to play Pokemon, trade the cards in the playground, or collect, and offer you some options for each of those. Kids can be fickle, so it's good to start out with one of the suggestions and see if it sticks, before investing too much into the hobby. Hopefully, they'll soon be masters of Pokemon!
Some of our suggestions include:
⭕️ Buying Battle Academy to get started
⭕️ Buying in Bulk from collectors to keep the cost down
⭕️ Themed decks to prevent having to open a ton of packs
⭕️ ETB's rather than packs where possible
Plus, a bonus quick discussion of the online trading card game.
I'd love to hear your tips too so everyone can see them, and I can confirm I followed very little of this advice as I tumbled down the rabbit hole into an expensive hobby! If you'd be interested in a 'next steps' video to follow on from this, be sure to let me know.
