Steel Colosseum – Epic Robot Wars meets Tabletop In This First Look!
If you watched Robot Wars as a kid (and even if you didn't) you should take a look at Steel Colosseum. Designed by Needy Cat Games, and published by first time publishers Zatu Games, it's a robot battling game of epic fights, upgrades, and more. It's heading to Kickstarter shortly, so be sure to check that out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zatu-games/steel-colosseum
Now, you may recognise some of the names involved here, and that's because it's been on Kickstarter before a Robot Fight Club. Unfortunately, none of us predicted the Pandemic, and for all sorts of COVID related reasons the funding was cancelled – however, you'll know from watching this I'm a huge fan of the artwork involved here, and the time between then and now has resulted in some great changes. This is an exciting one to take a look at, I think!
You'll probably know us by now, but in case you don't – Hi, I'm Charlie! I'm the Online Editor over at Tabletop Gaming, which is the home of Tabletop Gaming Magazine, a monthly publication dedicated to all the good stuff on tabletop we love – card games, board games, wargames, miniatures games, and more. You can get that through your door every month, or (if geography isn't our friend) it's available digitally too! Check that out here: https://ttgami.ng/3ieOwHE
As a quick one, because I prefer to be transparent – TTG are running some sponsored ads for Steel Colosseum, however this video is not paid for in any way. I'm aware of Steel Colosseum firstly through TikTok (of all things! Join us there @tabletopmag), and secondly through professional contacts of the designer and publisher. Once I took a look, I took the opportunity to put a video together. The ads were arranged separately without my knowledge with the relevant heads.
With that out of the way, more than anything, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, as not only does it give me an excuse to talk more about games, but I'd love to know if you're excited too. Please do pop a comment below – and also hit like and subscribe if you enjoyed and want to see more. Thanks so much if you do!
