If you've seen Onward, you'll know that the older of the two brothers regularly plays a TTRPG, named Quests of Yore. He uses what he's learnt from playing it in real life circumstances, not just playing out, but actively creating the tropes we expect of RPGs – and now, you can play Quests of Yore too!
Created by The Op, Quests of Yore (Barley's Edition) is a TTRPG that's family friendly, using nods to aspects referenced in the film, and allowing you to create your own world around it. Perfect for introducing younger family members to RPGs (or just anyone who's seen and enjoyed Onward!), there's a fair amount of stuff packed into it, and it was a pleasant surprise unboxing this one.
I'd love to know your thoughts on this one – is this on your wishlist? Did you enjoy seeing RPGs in the spotlight in the film? What do you think?
