I went out to Solitude on the 17th of July 2021 to do maintenance. I was going to build some more cairns, but the work took around 3 hours to tidy everything up, and to secure all the shims for the towers.
It's a 50 minute walk for me! Not the usual 15-20 minutes I'm used to when I lived in Sunalta. The Bow River was also high, so I couldn't cross at the regular spot, or I would have had to swim across the River. I had my laptop with me, so I had to take the long way to the island, from the island North of Solitude.
This Video took FOREVER to make. This VideoPad Editor is BRUTAL. Although I appreciate that it is free to download, it lengthens the time needed to make a video 4 FOLD! The pictures I took with my old Smart Phone are all High Definition. Every time I added a picture, the whole video would have to re-process. So, I had to wait a minute every time I wanted to add another Photo, and there are over 90 of them!
So, you could imagine my frustration making this Video. My chair got slammed on the floor numerous occasions until all the photos had been finally added and matched to the Music.
Not to mention the 35 GIGS of Cache Memory my Video Editor uses, on top of the 40 GIGS of video/photo data I have for the Video. WTF?!
I had to render the Vlog first, and then start a NEW Video Project for the Cinematics. Then I re-added the Rendered Vlog to the beginning of the cinematic video, and then rendered both together.
I have no idea how I can edit a 1 hour and 52 minute MOVIE with an I3, 4G of RAM on a Laptop that is 6 years older than this laptop, and not have very many difficulties. That had 100's of clips, 100's of voice audio clips and dozens of music clips, and it was much easier to handle than editing on VideoPad and this Laptop. (Lenovo T430 / I5 / 4G RAM) I used to edit on Corel Pro Studio.

Anyways, enough ranting about the video, I'm just happy it's finally f**king finished. There goes my weekend. 6 hours out at the project yesterday and severely aching feet, and 12 hours of video editing today. Time to relax.
