Destiny 2 Season of the Wish - Solo Legend Onslaught - Up to Round 39 (Wipe). Just another update video showing progress on the legend onslaught clear. Details below.

00:00 - Wave 1 to 10
15:31 - Wave 11 to 20
30:47 - Wave 21 to 30
54:03 - Wave 31 to 39

I didn't get to do any runs at all on Thursday, but yesterday I finally was able to give it some proper time. Early today with this run I've passed the wave 33 nightmare... only to get wiped by the spikes mine on round 39.

In this run it was mostly just getting unlucky with that particular combo, the Heavy Shanks and Exploder Shanks are probably the absolute worst lineup you can get to need to clear and move off the objective. Resto doesn't extend from the Exploder shank kills, and the Heavy Shanks have far too much health to reliably proc Sunbracers on. So more often than not they just overwhelm you. On top of that, Spike Mines require your immediate attention to get one straight away, otherwise you won't have enough time to clear and make it to the second one. So you're already on the back foot, it's mostly just an RNG nightmare. I think if I had a Tormentor instead of the Spike Mines I would've made it to 40+, as they're probably the easiest to deal with. Even Shielded Skyburner or Shielded Demolitionists would've been fine. Basically, anything other than Spike Mines or maybe Demolitionists (as they absolutely shred you).

Despite that, while I think this is still just barely possible, I think rounds 30 onwards are purely up to RNG at this stage. Some combos I just don't think are doable, and if you get those it's an hour down the drain. Additionally, enemies already are melting you at this point with resto x2, so the last set will be painful, especially depending on the daily burn. I'll still be putting in attempts, but over the next week or two I've got a lot to do IRL (and the new Remnant 2 DLC), so I'll probably taper off a little bit as time progresses. I'm sure someone will get it done at some point though.

I wasn't going to post until I reached at least 40, but I think this in itself should show how challenging it is, and it is still some more progress compared to before. Oh, and don't ask what I was doing on the third boss. I have no idea myself, I just didn't want to wipe at that point lol.

Lastly, I'm not sure if the "shiny" weapons have a chance to drop at all from the first two bosses on legend. Countless times I've done those and I'm yet to see a single drop come from those chests. While it's only a one person sample size and still possible that my RNG is just incredibly bad, I'm leaning towards them simply not being able to drop from wave 10 or 20 bosses, even on legend.
