Recording PS2 footage in high quality is pretty hard! Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong lol. Left is retrotink5x with the old firmware, and on the right is straight s-video to an old avermedia capture card. You can see the rt5x has better black levels and deinterlacing, but it's a little too dark. The avermedia card has deinterlacing artifacts all over the place, but otherwise it looks pretty good! Unfortunately there's some defect in the card that adds a painful electronic whine, it's really awful when the volume is cranked up.
