The release of the Ice-Pick Lodge game, Knock-knock, was on October 4, 2013. Players take on the role of a Lodger, who has recently noticed strange things around his house, located in the middle of a generally untrafficked forest.
Controls are fairly simple: Left Arrow / Right Arrow for horizontal movement; Up Arrow / Down Arrow to ascend or descend a ladder; Spacebar to turn on or off lights; E to hide or come out of hiding; hold Space to repair/replace a light or unlock a door.
There is an unusual cabin deep in the woods. It had served as a laboratory and a dwelling for three generations of Lodgers. As of late, though, the latest Lodger has been noticing weird changes in familiar surroundings: things are missing; noises and rattling are heard; and something odd (and possibly dangerous) is coming out of the woods. Each night, the Lodger awakens to find someone has made themselves at home in various rooms of the house.
As he attempts to stay awake and sane till dawn, the Lodger wanders the rooms, while evading the unknown, counting the minutes until morning. Unfortunately, it's only in the night that he can solve the storyline puzzle and find the answers. What's going on? Are there real Guests, or does he just imagine them? What are the strange changes to the forest he's noticed? Why is the cabin always different, filled with creepy sounds? Is he going insane? Let's play Knock-knock and see!
