Sonic 3 & Knuckles Hack: Secret Boss Hydrocity Act 2 Speed Run
4A mini Sonic rom hack that came out on Wednesday 5th April 2023, which focuses on the Hydrocity Act 2 boss with some twists, created by TheBlad768. When I first saw this, half of it reminded me of Spring Yard Act 3's boss.
In this run, I tried it with Sonic & Tails (with an improved run), then Tails alone, and finally Knuckles & Tails. Basically, Tails is such a useful character to speed things up a little. However, Knuckles cannot grab Tails's arms, so I had to do a safe 3 hits with Tails, and then the intended way as Knuckles for the remaining 5. I wonder how fast each character can be done via Tool Assisted methods.
As a Mac user, I used the Genesis Plus emulator via OpenEmu, and screen captured my footage via QuickTime using the Soundflower (64 ch) setting to record the game audio.
