Sonic Advance - The Game That Redefined 2D Sonic
171The early 2000s was a thriving time for the Sonic franchise. SEGA was seeing major success from the release of Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic was further solidified as a gaming icon worldwide. Despite the success of their 3D journey, SEGA/Sonic Team took the opportunity to return to their roots and make a brand new 2D Sonic game for the Gameboy Advance.
In this upcoming video series, I will share my personal experiences with the Sonic Advance Trilogy and Sonic Battle. In addition, I will be discussing the impact of each game and how it introduced young millennials and Gen Z’ers to the Sonic franchise as a whole. Hope you enjoy!
