In Japan, Sonic Adventure got two releases: "Sonic Adventure" and "Sonic Adventure International." Technically there was also "Sonic Adventure: Limited Edition," but this was only available to rent from Hollywood Video in the US.

The later "International" release was just that, the version of the game released elsewhere, released back in Japan with a few extra features.

The original 1998 release of Sonic Adventure in Japan however, has a considerable amount of differences due to it being released a whole 9 months before the rest of the world got it. There's numerous bugs, oddities with cutscenes, and random stuff like the "Wheel-O-Feet" of the classic games showing up exclusively in this 1998 version. There's also the infamous Cowgirl Billboard in Knuckle's version of Casinopolis!

This footage is taken from the 1998 Japanese release of Sonic Adventure. Bizarrely, the only way I could record this in colour was using a French signal, despite it being a Japanese game running on a UK Dreamcast! Anyway, there's not much difference here to the version we got, besides the wheel-o-feet and the Japanese voicework and subtitles. Enjoy!
