About the song:
This is a pretty standard cover in terms of how I usually do them, especially as I was new to this. It doesn't have same-channel echo, it doesn't have detuning, vibrato effects always have the same values and play at the same starting length, and channels only use one type of volume macros from beginning to end, which are also very simple in shape. The only things I would say are not as simple are the tempo adjustment, which is now standard for me as I refuse to do anything but NTSC anymore (PAL being the only possible exception), and also a new effect I haven't used before. As I was making a cover of the Sonic & Knuckles title theme I noticed the square waves in that song had a down-only vibrato, and I remembered there was an effect that did exactly that that I knew existed but completely forgot about and I had a chance to use it and see if it worked the same way. Turns out it did, at least as far as I could tell it was exactly the same. Here I used that same effect, effect E3, to make the third channel have the same vibrato value as the second channel but down-only, that way it kinda sounds like they're tuned different when the vibrato is in effect even though they're not.
Other than in my title theme cover, this is the only I've used this effect so far. It might be useful for VGM recreations if I ever get to that, apparently down-only vibrato is the actual norm, or it might be that 8-bit Sonic songs do down then up instead of up then down like DefleMask does, which might be a problem if I try to recreate VGMs accurately. Accurate recreations have been a nightmare for reasons like that, which is why I haven't posted any despite having at least 3 decent ones.
