Sonic CD (Mixed Music Run) Part 2: Collision Chaos Zone
Collision Chaos is Sonic CD's more surreal version of Sonic 1's Spring Yard. This is even taken literally, where you can find yards filled with nothing but springs.
It's like telling an eccentric, imaginative girl to "remix" Spring Yard into a spacier land where you don't know what could happen next. (Random Thought)
--------------
Anyway, Amy was first seen at the end of Palmtree Panic Present's Act 1. She appears again at the start of this zone's Act 1, where she gets kidnapped by Metal Sonic. That means Sonic has two missions on his hands now: Defeat Eggman, and save Amy.
What Collision Chaos and Spring Yard have in common are their pinball-like motifs, alternate exits in Act 2, and loads and loads of springs.
Its Present self is pinkish and purplish, and a nice concentration of techno imagery.
It's Past self is more orange, and helms more plant life compared to the tech that it would get.
It's Good Future is light bluish, with the improved tech and having borderline-Japanese messages.
Its unseen Bad Future is dark and mostly grey with fiery highlights on certain graphics, and the tech looks a bit more threatening and corrupted.
The Eggman boss takes the pinball theme more seriously, as you have to aim very well to hit Eggman and finish the whole zone.
