When decompiling Lakefeperd's old sonic fangame i found graphics for this unused boss in the files, after messing around with the source code of the game i discovered this fight is fully programmed(slightly buggy but fully working)
The boss trigger also works and was found in the past and present frames for the outside of the castle leading to the Polem Kingdom, i can only guess that you would have fought the boss there very early on in the game as it only has 2 attacks and isnt much of a challenge.
