Sonic Crackers: This was a prototype game for the Sega Genesis that eventually evolved into Knuckles' Chaotix. It was initially planned as a Sonic game that would utilize a unique "linking" gameplay mechanic, but the concept was eventually scrapped in favor of the new characters introduced in Knuckles' Chaotix.
