Yo so this is a new mod of mine that fixes Modern Sonic and makes the game feel more fun to play.

Idk why Sonic Team made Sonic here a lot more stiff, when SU's physics worked almost 100% fine. Gens Sonic is an absolute mess and I'd like to fix that : )

This mod is NOT ready yet, and so please don't ask for downloads.

Changes to Sonic:
- Render colour tones for Sonic (these are the same textures used for MSA2 v6)
- AI upscaled textures for Sonic (no more crusty textures for him)
- Restored the "full" jumpball spike texture from SU (this was the same texture in Gens, but more transparent, which made the ball look worse. Yes, they don't use different balls and other stuff. Most materials are from SU, some are edited SU textures and a minority are new textures).
- Removed the vertex colours on the mouth (this removes the "lipstick" look he had before) and redid the vertex colours and added some slight shading to the socks and glove cuffs.
- Restored the "GO!" voice line by using a Free Riders clip and increasing the volume on the clip
- Added some new damage, sliding and homing voice clips from Free Riders (will add some Lost World voices later)
- The airboost has been completely restored!
- Sonic no longer drags in the air super fast when running and jumping in the 2D sections
- Increased the air velocity in the 3D sections by 5 so it feels more like Unleashed
- Sonic's turning overall is more free and less stiff; it's easier to control him when running, just like SU, but better.
- Increased the volume of some sounds, like footsteps and the homing attack, and imported Unleashed's sounds for the boost and homing attack, as Gens uses lower-quality sounds for these and the Gens homing attack is a shorter version of the SU sound and is more quiet.
- Homing attack is more snappy, similar to SU, and you can now move around a little more after doing the homing attack to move to the next target, similar to Sonic Heroes.

Changes to the camera:

- FOV has increased to 280 when you start the boost and eases into 30 after boosting for a second or two
- Added slight camera shake when boosting

Changes to the graphics:

- Made use of the unused radial blur effect. When boosting, the radial blur kicks in.
- Light streaks are enabled in all stages
- Light streak values went from 0.999 to 0.998. This makes the streaks pop a little more.

I need to redo the physics as some things are messed up, but other than that, this feels very good!
