We duel the Egg Dragoon, a boss from Sonic Unleashed. As you can see, I mess up twice in this video. =/ I still get my S-Rank, though. =D

This boss is pretty annoying, but if you know what to do, then he shouldn't be too much of a problem. Basically, all you have to do is to attack the core of the machine by using a homing attack, making sure that the target appears on the monster first. This can be done in four different ways of attacking the boss:

1. When running in 3D, avoid the freeze waves and fire beams that Eggman tries to hit you with. To do this, jump over or Quick Step away from the freeze waves, and jump over the fire beams. Then, look for a boost ramp (there are three each in different locations). Use the ramps to grind on rails at the top of the area, switching rails as needed to get to the hoop at the end of them. Go through this hoop, and you will travel closer to the boss while falling, allowing you to homing attack the core. This can be done only once per 3D run.

2. When running in 2D, avoid the white projectiles that Eggman tries to throw at you by jumping or jump-dashing over them. Sometimes, Eggman will stop attacking and get closer to you. If you're fast enough, you get closer to him and homing attack the core. This is the hardest method to pull off as you must be fast and close enough to the boss. (I only do this once in the video.)

3. While wall-jumping between the machine's walls, avoid the falling white projectiles. Try to make it out before the walls close in on Sonic. When you get to the top, everything will slow down as Sonic stalls in the air. Then, a reticule (aiming mechanism) will appear on the core of the machine, signaling you to homing attack.

4. While skydiving, hold the action button to dive faster, so you can close in on the boss. You should also move around as much as possible while avoiding walls or doors. This will prevent you from being hit by Eggman's missiles. When you get close enough to the machine, an aiming mechanism will appear on its core. Homing attack the core by simply pressing the A button. Repeat this method as many times as possible.

Keep in mind that Eggman will repeat any of his attacks.
