Download a HEX editor of your choice, I use HxD: https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/

Locate your Sonic Heroes .exe file within program files
C:\Program Files\SEGA\SONICHEROES

Run the HEX editor (as administrator) after downloading it and open the Sonic Heroes .exe file in it

Now copy this string of numbers/letters

80 02 00 00 E0 01 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 03 00 00 58 02 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 03 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 05 00 00 C0 03 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 80 02 00 00 E0 01 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 03 00 00 58 02 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 03 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 05 00 00 C0 03

And then go to the HEX editor and click 'CTRL F' to find, and click 'CTRL V' to paste the string into the search box, then change the drop down box from 'Text-string' to 'HEX-values', then click 'OK'

There should now be a blue section highlighted with the number '80' at the start, click just infront of the 8 so the cursor shows if you were to start typing the 8 would be the first number to be overwritten

Now (choose one of the below depending on your resolution) type either

2560x1080 - "000A 3804"
3440x1440 - "700D A005"

ONLY TYPE IN WHATS INSIDE THE QUOTATION MARKS, NOTHING ELSE

Then click 'CTRL S' to save the changes and you can close the HEX editor and play the game! Just need to make sure that 640x480 32bit is selected in resolution box in game launcher.
