Frog Forest

Took a while for the obligatory grass stage to appear. One of the things about this game not related to Knuckles that bothers me is why every stage is like way up in the stratosphere. Maybe except Mystic Mansion, some parts of it. Bottomless pits are a cheap way of making a game harder.

Frog Forest is a pretty short stage, so I managed to complete this pretty quickly. I went through another run of Super Hard Mode today. In this stage, getting Sonic to Level 3 as quickly as you can is a priority, since there are huge numbers of shielded enemies. A Homing Attack at Level 3 destroys shields, and it makes getting through a lot faster. And I don't have to take the risk of Knuckles accidentally dashing off the ground and into the bottomless pit.
