About the song:
This song is really dense, it has a lot of instruments and big chords (3 notes can be too much), not very easy to do for the Genesis when all the PSG channels are also being used separately, which is also a thing that doesn't happen often. I think this remix sounds a little bare compared to the original, but that's because the original has a lot of instruments playing at once, some of them playing the same note but in two different octaves, while here I have to limit things to one instrument per unique note, and have all the trumpets be the same instrument so that they can't be heard individually, but like a chord, because otherwise you'd notice when one of them was missing or when more were added, and that's not ideal when it's supposed to feel like all is one big thing. To have every trumpet be the same instrument means that the FM trumpet must be good enough on its own, which means the FM synthesis must be good, and that in turn meant I had to edit every instrument I used to make them work well with each other, and I actually ended up making some effects that I didn't expect, that was good luck. The problem with having every instrument sound the same is that some of them are supposed to be heard separately, so I tried to make that easier by detuning some of them, especially at the end where it gets all crowded.
