My previous video showed off a mod to get Mirage Saloon fully working in Sonic Mania's main Mania Mode (try saying that five times fast). There was a catch though; the stage list was now offset, leading to the Save Select's level selector being wrong; any zone after MSZ would now dump you in Act 2 from the Save Select. Not ideal.

So instead of doing the normal thing and just living with it, I thought; what if there was a S3K Hidden Palace style intermission between Hydrocity and Mirage Saloon, showing Sonic and Tails fetching the Tornado after they dumped it on AIZ in the opening? And so that's what I did, with a newly extended take on AIZ!

It's still a short level, given Hidden Palace in 3K was the inspiration, but I think it was a fun and creative way to get around a glitch. The second path shown in the video was originally a Knuckles route, but due to the game's coding, Knuckles never actually visits this zone; he goes straight from HCZ to MSZ.

Annoyingly, this can't be released for the same reasons as the previous mod; backporting.
