Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone! On Tuesday the 22nd I was given permission to test the Crowd Control integration that's coming to Sonic Mania. The challenge was simple. Use the Crowd Control features to stop me from finishing the game in 2 hours or less. Were chat up to the challenge?

What is Crowd Control? Crowd Control is an extension for Twitch that allows people to exchange bits and channel points for coins that are used to activate special effects in a number of games. For Sonic Mania this ranges from giving the player rings and shields to changing the character and partner characters on the fly as well as summoning springs, enemies and even outright killing you! It's a unique way to play game and get your community involved.
