Sonic Mania Plus - Part 4: Old News with a New Coat of Print
643In Part 4 of the Sonic Mania Plus "Encore Mode" playthrough, one must ask the question of exactly what purpose Eggman's diabolical newspaper-printing facility in the snowy forests of Asialand might serve to his grand scheme, or more importantly, why the old typeface imprints are almost as large as he is... individually.
With the fantastic Sonic Mania's original release about a year behind us, Sega has released both a patch update, which improves the user interface and tweaks the game (as well as adding some new cutscenes where they were obviously missing before) and a DLC add-on called "Encore," which gives us two new characters and an extra mode to play which changes the dynamic of the adventure significantly. Of course, like a pack of rabbid animals, we Sonic the Hedgehog fans are already on top of it, snapping and snarling at each other over our differing opinions... yeah, it's gonna be that kind of commentary. Woo-hoo!
