Sonic Superstars - Story Mode Playthrough As Sonic
5Welcome to Sonic Superstars, a 2D spinoff game developed by Arzest & Sega that brings the main cast of heroes to Northstar Islands in their latest battle with Robotnik and a returning Fang. While having the usual gameplay for a 2D Sonic game, Superstars changes things up by designating a specific power to each emerald we collect in the seven special stages, while also allowing super upgrade once the seventh is collected. These powers will help us get through 11 different zones, at a total of 26 acts.
Being a Sonic exclusive playthrough, we'll be be utilizing his high speed moveset to grab the emeralds and complete the main levels as quickly as possible, while also including every side act that makes us play as the other three characters and the two smaller levels that require collectable fruit to gain entry. While the insta shield is sadly gone we do have the returning drop-dash, which has a surprising amount of usefulness here.
