Welcome back to Sonic 2006,

This time we end the game by going through the Last Story which takes place after the other three are finished.

The final story starts with Mephilis collecting another one of the Chaos Emeralds, after this we cut to Sonic and Elise who, now that Eggman is out of the picture, are going on a stroll in the Soleanna forest when they notice something glowing but this was just a distraction placed there by Mephilis who takes the opportunity to shoot a laser through Sonic's heart killing the blue hedgehog, thus causing Elise to cry over the first person who showed her the joys of being a normal person thus releasing Iblis from her body which Mephilis takes advantage off to fuse with the flames of disaster to take their true form which as a side effect destroys everything outside of the main cast.

After the light subsides we join Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Rouge, Shadow, Omega, Silver, and Eggman who of course are all confused seeing each other again especially Silver seeing as he had gone back to his time but before they can question it more they are told what is going on by Eggman who figured out how Mephilis caused Iblis to awaken pointing everyone's attention to the corps of Sonic the Hedgehog.

At this time Solaris roars with such power to cause time to grow unstable but because of its power and rule over time the characters don't think they can defeat it on their own despite Silver's optimism, but Elise feels a strange wind which she recognizes as Sonic concluding that the blue blur isn't fully gone yet at which Silver remembers the tale Blaze told him about the power of the Chaos Emeralds to turn ones thought into power to perform miracles so with the plan formed everyone, except for Eggman and Elise who stay behind to make sure nothing happens to the blue hedgehog in the mean time, go to the far reaches of the dimension to look for the seven Chaos Emeralds Solaris shattered throughout it.


After everyone gets back with the Chaos Emeralds they circle them around Sonic and Elise does her part and makes her wish to the miracle gems to bring Sonic the Hedgehog back to life which after a small speech the emeralds are able to do by granting the hedgehog with their full power reviving Sonic into his super form.

So now that Sonic is back and is caught up with the plan he turns to Shadow and Silver to represent both the past and future with Sonic to represent the present to take on Solaris in all time periods at the same time, this turns Shadow and Silver into their super forms as well giving us Super Shadow and Super Silver before the three of them fly of after Solaris.

The fight against Solaris starts with the creature being immune against both Super Sonic and Super Shadow's attacks so Super Silver starts out this fight by shooting back the meteors Solaris shoots at the super powered psychic hedgehog.
After a while his armor shatters a little bit meaning that there are small openings into which Super Shadow can fire his upgraded Chaos Spear: the Spear of Light into the creature which shattered the rest of his armor which allowed Super Sonic to defeat Solaris with his Arrow of Light attack.

After this the creature sheds all of its armor and take on its true form which looks like an eagle creature which was depicted all over Soleanna, and in this form Solaris is only vulnerable when he attacks but eventually the creature is defeated and our heroes come back to the others to finish it of and returning everyone back to the real world but before this can happen Sonic and Elise go back in time once more to where everything began with the original form of Solaris as a small flame so if they want to make sure this can never happen and to return the world to something close to what it was before Elise and Sonic have to put out the flame of Solaris but because this would mean that Elise would never have met Sonic or his friends and because of how sheltered the princess was before all of that she doesn't want to do this, but Sonic reassures Elise that even if they never meet without the flames of disaster would lead to her leading a happier life thus causing Elise to blow out the flame and thus returning them to a world where the events of this game never happened and being set back to the night of the festival of the sun which without Eggman go of without any issues and Sonic comes to watch the festivities.

This ends Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 not the best game but one I like to remember for being one of the last Sonic games that tried to have a deeper than average story and having more playable characters with their own play styles.
