Welcome to my playthrough of the final Sonic game that was released for the hedgehog's 15th anniversary, Sonic Rivals for the PlayStation Portable.

Because of how Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 ends no one knows who Silver is and Silver doesn't know any of the main cast his future also is not the same disastrous future as it was in 06 but it is still a ruined future which will be explained by the story.

This is a racing game in which Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver compete against each other in a footrace to see who's the fastest.

Now for the story:

Our story starts with Knuckles on the hunt for the missing Master Emerald when he came to a mysterious island but before he can question why the island feels familiar he sees Dr. Eggman so assuming that the mad scientist is behind the missing Master Emerald he goes after him and asks him about it but instead of him having the physical gemstone he shows us a card with a picture of the Master Emerald on it but the doctor tells us that that card is actually the real Master Emerald but before he can explain further Sonic shows up looking for Tails and Amy who also have gone missing like the Master Emerald and like the gemstone have been turned into cards as well and this leads the doctor to explain that he has the ability to turn people and objects into cards by using a special camera.

After this Eggman leaves telling the two of them that if they want the cards they're looking for they need to compete against each other to see who can catch him first.

We now turn back 6 hours where we hear a transmission between Eggman and Shadow that tells the Ultimate Life-Form that there is someone in pursuit of him and tells Shadow to follow his signal to find him, now we meet back up 6 hours later Shadow followed the signal and got to the island Sonic and Knuckles also are on but he doesn't see either of them but is instead met by a silver hedgehog who he doesn't recognize chasing after dr. Eggman.

We go back a little bit and see what the silver hedgehog was chasing Eggman for as he has some important questions to ask the doctor about someone he's looking for but before he can ask him Shadow jumps between the two of them and Eggman tells Shadow to take care of the silver hedgehog.

Now for after the duos go through the Forest Falls Zone they catch back up to Eggman.

Sonic and Knuckles catch up to Eggman and demand the cards back he promised them but since the doctor needs them he doesn't give them but instead sets up one of his boss machines which Sonic and Knuckles need to compete against to see who can get their card from him.

Shadow asks Eggman if the silver hedgehog is the one he warned him about but Eggman doesn't know what Shadow was talking about and he wouldn't ask him for help Silver then shows up telling Shadow that he was looking to ask Eggman about someone called Eggman NEGA who Eggman doesn't know anything about and because of this he retreats to his machine the Egg Turtle.


After this Silver confronts Eggman again since he DOES know something about Eggman NEGA but at that moment Eggman tells him that if he wants to know he needs to defeat Sonic.

Shadow while thinking about why Eggman was acting strange he received another transmission but this time its from Rouge who tells Shadow that she found something related to Eggman and that he needs to stay on his trail for a little while longer at which point Knuckles runs into Shadow and asks him if Eggman came by here since he is looking for him

Now everyone goes through the second zone of the island before they catch up to Eggman.

After Shadow asks Eggman about what he has to do with Rouge, the doctor again acts really strange as if he knows nothing of what is going on after this he goes to his Egg Falcon to get away from everyone.


This playthrough will only be the story mode played through once switching between the 4 playable characters each zone but every "cutscene" will be showcased by splicing the footage together.

In this part we go through the first zone Forest Falls Zone as Shadow the Hedgehog and the second zone Colosseum Highway Zone as Sonic the Hedgehog.
