Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024) is an exhilarating action-adventure comedy that continues the high-speed escapades of the beloved blue hedgehog. Directed by Jeff Fowler, the film features the return of Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey), and Knuckles (Idris Elba) as they confront a formidable new adversary, Shadow the Hedgehog (voiced by Keanu Reeves). With Jim Carrey reprising his role as the enigmatic Dr. Ivo Robotnik, this installment delves deeper into the Sonic universe, introducing complex characters and thrilling narratives that captivate audiences of all ages.
The Sonic vs Shadow fight was absolutely insane! So many nice nods! From the iconic pose between Sonic and Shadow to the legendary Akira slide which is a staple of anime this film just kept on giving! And don't even get us started on that entire third act with Super Sonic vs Super Shadow, this film took things to a whole other level and the passion for the characters combined with the anime inspiration made this film our favorite out of all three!
Also we were introduced to two characters that will definitely show up in Sonic 4! Metal Sonic and Amy Rose. Can't wait to see what they do with them!
