In the third part of the S3&K playthrough, Sonic has successfully stopped the launch of the Death Egg and it crashes on top of a volcano. Tails fly him to safety to a mushroom-filled forest as we proceed through the first three zones of Sonic & Knuckles: Mushroom Valley (Hill), Flying Battery, and Sandopolis.
