Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode I: Taking a Step Back | 30th Anniversary Mini Review
Review 6/30: Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 4 (Multiplatform, 2010)
The next numbered sequel. It's awesome....right?
Sonic The Hedgehog 4 should have been the next in line in a series of legendary games with it's numbered sequel status. Unfortunately it's anything but legendary and was a major misstep amongst many in a dark era of Sonic titles.
There are a few good ideas here and there, but the biggest problem comes from the poor controls, which can just get on your nerves after a while. There's no Super Sonic battle either! What's up with that?!
I'll be doing short videos on 30 Sonic titles for the 30th anniversary of the series. Going for at least a video a week, so be sure to tune in!

Rising Sun Retro is a channel about retro games (of course) and even modern games too. From short video reviews, to retrospectives on older titles. Being based in Japan gives the channel a Japanese focus (hence the name) from a westerners perspective (also the name sounded catchy so I'm rolling with it).
