The corrupting influence of Robotnik spreads to oil rigs and other such devices in the future version of this zone. The music is thus a lot more driving and serious than its past variant, which I think is quite fitting. 1:28 - 2:15 is my favorite section of the song, as I feel the piano sounds at its best at this point.

This is music from the demos of Sonic Time Twisted, a Sonic fangame inspired by the time-travelling aspects of Sonic CD and supporting Past and Future versions of most stages. I was asked to post up the music from this fangame...and it was a bit of a project to diligently cover it all! There's several demos of the game, all featuring different music. The 2006 demo has songs that I don't believe are original compositions for the game, so I didn't include them here. The 2009 demo's music was composed by LarkSS. The 2010 demo saw Lark stepping down from the project and many (but not all) of the tracks were replaced by new compositions by Zach Hinchy, who is now set at the game's main musician - and as such, he composed further tracks used in the latest release, here in 2014. (Andy Tunstall, of Sonic Before/After the Sequel fame, is involved in some of the new tracks as well.) There's a basic timeline, and I will be applying a date to each song I put up to indicate what year's demo it came from.
I'll be covering every song from 2009 - 2014 with the exception of the boss fight song Vs. Metal Sonic in the 2014 demo, as there was no way to record it without sound effects playing over much of the melody. Many tracks were simply taken from the demos' music folders, though I did touch up several of them. Other tracks had to be recorded directly from the game, so any variance of quality amongst the tracks is likely due to this.
