Yet another drama surrounding an issue with a sonic wave infinity record. This time it is @hiposonicwaver that gets the shaft. The demon list has a long set of rules surrounding how records are accepted, and has kept this standard for a long time, which I agree with, however in cases like this one, where there is a software malfunction, in a part past the final input of the level, it leaves the question; "should this standard be kept, or does change benefit the greater good of the demon list, and it's community?". In this video, I wish to discuss the situation at hand, as well as my personal thoughts surrounding it. Giving examples for, and against, and having a civil discussion around the list as a whole. Should we adapt a "last input" ideology like speedrunning, or should we keep the "level complete" ideology, that is currently the standard. I wish to spark discussion that benefits both sides, so please be respectful. The demon list, as mentioned in the video, is a bunch of teenagers doing charity work, to give us a competitive leaderboard, and is only trying to maintain a standard for how records should be accepted. This video only serves to question the methods of how records ARE accepted, as I personally believe that there are cases where the standard should be removed in the case of malfunctioning software similar to this situation.
