Sons of the Forest Silencer...Why would I use it?

3Many of us playing have found the silencer. What I didn't realize there is actual purpose to the weapon mod! Many of the cave dwelling mutants are blind & hunt by sound (if you walk slow or crouch walk you can usually pass right by them), so if you shoot at them with a silenced weapon they won't attack!
