So, The King is Watching is a roguelike citybuilder with the absurdity turned up to...7-ish? The theme is kinda weird-medieval, but the mechanics I actually kinda love: buildings are constructed in a grid, and only three are active at a time: the ones you're actively "watching."
I'll admit, I don't love a couple of the choices of units: "madmen" with alcohol-tipped needles and "whipmen" that speed up allies movement and attack are the kinds of choices that pull me out of the immersion of gameplay a bit. But I do enjoy the game overall and am looking forward to trying more.
