Soul Calibur IV has been my return to this franchise after my only taste of it being Soul Blade(Soul Edge) for the PSX years ago, where I mainly played Mitsurugi and Sophitia.

So when first started SCIV used them, but after a few fights I was curious about new characters, and moving the selection box between them I suddenly saw something that instantly got my attention.....a full armored knight with a sword and a lance...whom, to my surprise, was a female character.

So instantly fell for Hilde, and who wouldn't?(figuratively speaking) I mean, she's honorable, righteous, compassionate, and in these times of fighting games full of scantily clad, exaggeratedly busty, subjected to unreal (or at least double standarized) jiggling physics female characters, her outfit is actually well designed and up to its task, which is offering protection against hits, slashes and etc.

Now this is a female character I can take seriously and empathize with.
