I got to the semi final opponent on my best attempt, but this was mostly practice and failed attempts. This was my first session with this mode. The mode requires 1 CC completion (no continues available), so can be difficult to complete 8 matches without a loss. This shows how I break down these games. First I try all the characters that look like they can exploit the game the most. Larger characters, boss characters, characters with long reach, etc. I try to find exploits with these characters first, mostly using regular moves. I find regular moves usually exploit fighting games the most, but it takes alot of experimentation to see what moves enemies fall for the most consistently. I briefly checked some of the moves in the menu but did not know what the inputs were exactly, so everything was discovered by messing around with the game. After trying all the characters that look to have potential I use save states to practice opponents that give me the most trouble. I will usually mix in some full attempts too, to break it up. I found Kilik to be the best so far since he has a long range poke and can follow up with a combo that hits low and high, which usually connects if enemies get close. The final boss is still giving me trouble to beat consistently so that will still be a roadblock. I dont usually do 1 CC runs intentionally unless the game requires it, or the game goes down easily on my first playthrough.
The Story Mode seems like a drawn out series of tutorials, so this seemed like the best mode to aim for, as far as getting this game on the KILL LIST. It turned out to be alot harder than expected with the 1 CC requirement.
