SOUTH OF MIDNIGHT / PART 14 / Had A Bit of Fun BUT Glad Its Over / Gameplay

South of Midnight is a Story Driven, Platforming, Action Game.
( But it does Not Know What it Wants to Be ).
The World and Visuals are Nice, Granted Not Everyone likes Stop Motion Styles in Games But i did Not Mind it.
A Fair Few Good Level Designs But Also Some Samey Tedious Ones As Well.
The Audio and Music is Good for the Most Part But Some Seem a Bit Off imo But i think the Music is Down Personal Preference.
I Did However comes across a Number of Audio Bugs and Glitches at Times which meant i had to Close the Game and Reboot to Fix it a Few Times.
The Core Gameplay Loop is Repetitive and some what Tedious after a Bit because its the Same Formula Over and Over Rinse and Repeat, Run and Jump from Point A to B and Smack the Same Mobs of Enemies Over and Over. ( Its the Story that Kept Me Playing ).
A Number of Times i Encountered Platforming Issues / Input Delays or just Straight Up Not Working aka Double Jump Randomly Decides to Not Work OR Get Stuck on Terrain in Chase Sequences OR Grapple Hook Moments Not Working after a Jump or Just a Hugh Input Delay ect.
Combat is the Weakest Part of the Game and Needs to be Smoother and More Engaging or Added Mechanics or Something.
The Game Only has 6 Enemy Types and just Throws the Same Enemies at You Over and Over Again in the Same Generic Combat Ring / Arena.
The Game Only Has 3 Bosses because im NOT Including the Last Boss because it was Generic and LAZY ( Last Boss was just 4 Waves of the same Generic Enemies you have Already been Fighting the Whole Game with No Depth ).
The 3 Actual Bosses i just Mentioned are Pretty Much the same Routine to Each Other, 1= Avoid Attacks for a Moment then Grapple Something then Attack. 2= Avoid Attacks for a Moment then Attack. 3= Avoid Attacks for a Moment then Grapple Something then Attack. That's Pretty Much it...
Also the Game had a Lot of Missed Opportunities aka Missed Boss Encounters that could of Been Added, Connecting the Dots to some Characters and Story Points, Going Back to Characters to see the Change or Confront them ect, More Depth or Mechanics or Just More Interesting things to Do or Interact with in the Levels.
The Skill Tree / Upgrade System is Kinda Pointless as you can do the Game without using Any of it ( Granted the Key Abilities like Glide, Grapple and Crouton are Needed But You Don't Need to Upgrade Them AT ALL ).
The Skill / Upgrade Page is Just for Combat Really and is Lackluster.
The Story is OK, Granted they could of Done a Lot More with it.
The Main Plot with the Main Characters is what you Want, Some of the Side Stories are OK But gets Samey and Predictable almost to the Point of Needless Padding/ Filler to Drag things Out.
Get on Gamepass or on Sale in my Opinion.
For Me this is an Average Game so About a 6/10.
