I know it's been a while since I dealt with enemy ships, so I figured I'd do a slow-travel to get some pirates to yeet ammo at within the game. After that, it's once again lots and LOTs of trading -- you have to do infinite trading, or spend real money, so the way to win is to trade essentially and that's most of the game. It's a beautiful game though, so I don't mind the idea of running cargo more often than fighting bad guys. Besides, ammo & repairs costs tons, so you need to make tons before having so much to hurl at the enemies.
