A 20 minute full contact demonstration of a prototype next gen era research and escort class which has no current canonical counterpart. (That I know of.) It (Hemmingway should be considered a... Quasar Class?) would have been around Voyager era, with a focus on being a tactically necessary bridge between the Nova Class, and perhaps the Intrepid Class.

*This notes that there probably were not a whole lot of Intrepids flying around after Voyager's little disappearing act.

Specs are on par with this description and is considered built on demand ad hoc. It is meant to be operated with a minimal crew (10-15) but can support up to around 30 with relative ease, perhaps more with bunkbeds at need.

This was of course to enable special operations research where; fewer people would be needed, but perhaps a bit more defense than a Nova could offer might be required. (Not Bajor)

As an escort vessel it could be dispatched alone, or more likely in pairs to defend against Borg incursions or even Romulan border crossings as defense for smaller science ships or outposts. The shield power reflects that exact need, and denotes an air of "being the important target." This is to be tactically useful, and is also why it comes with quantum torpedos and V-torpedos in tandem.

Bear in mind this is just a prototype so yes this is all me "making stuff up," to explain a fictional non canonical ship... in a game where we make stuff out of blocks. (IKR?)

Links for this ship will appear soon, I have a bit more testing to do to make sure it doesn't fail under the conditions described. After defeating a Ross Class mostly cleanly - I think we'll see more of it soon.
