Either way we see that the classic 1701 is more than a match at even scale with Enterprise B given the right output on weapons and shields. The x factor here is the XCV 330 which as far as I can tell, is pretty close to what it should have. This made it an inferior ship to that support fighter, but by what factor?
The Enterprise B and That support craft would almost certainly have been a more dangerous encounter due to the support fighter being TNG era weaponry.
The difference in encounter danger is sometimes measured in discernible ways like weapon damage, or power output, or even shield strength. This would be a case of only maybe 2-3 GW difference were the roles reversed and the Original Enterprise forced to use the XCV-330 as the support ship.
