Space Engineers Getting Started in Space Engineers 2023 (PC) - Part 2
7Welcome back for Part 2 of our Getting Started in Space Engineers 2023 series. In Part 1, we discussed how to set up and start a new game, specifically the “Learning to Survive” scenario that comes as a part of the “vanilla” game. We went through the Options Menu and the applicable settings. We then started the scenario and completed the first of the available “task” areas, how to replenish your health, oxygen/hydrogen, drilling for resources, and finally gained access to our starting ship.
In Part 2, we start from the load screen and explore the Advanced World Configurations (Settings) for our play through. (If you want to skip ahead, the actual gameplay starts at 38:20). From here we discuss setting up your ships toolbar, a little bit about power management, and head off for our 2nd area of tasks, where we acquire our first mining vessel, and become familiar with ship tools. Before heading off to our next area of tasks, we take a moment to make some changes to our starting ship (the “Pod”).
*****I really didn’t expect this episode to be so long, but since we have completed going through the game settings portion of this how-to, I expect any future episodes to be much more manageable in timeframe (between 45m-60m).
