We need resources, and we need them badly! I go out to look for some much-needed resources in this episode of Space Engineers playing the Never Surrender scenario. I particularly need some cobalt, but alas, I never find it. I do, however, find some ice in the mountains. Finding ice is a huge relief because now I know where to find the fule needed for my backpack thrusters and the hydrogen thrusters on the drop pod. That will come in handy when I need to convert the drop pod into an atmospheric flying pod.
So while I wasn't successful in finding cobalt, I decide to try and make the drop pod into a flying mining ship. I unlock the cockpit and atmospheric thrusters, and I start to build the cockpit onto the drop pod where the flight seat used to be. I also take the survival kit off the drop pod and install it back on my fledgling base. And just in time too. I was about to run out of energy in my suit.
Before I start this Space Engineers episode, I also show the mods that I have installed. I still want to play vanilla, so these mods are just QoL Space Engineers mods. One is the Sneaky Sounds mod that quiets the tool noise to a bearable level. The other mod is the BuildInfo mod that adds some extra block info to the heads-up display (HUD).
Peace and Love,
Danny Code
