My first atmospheric ship in Space Engineers is a bit of a test subject that is definitely one step away from the trash heap. But, it does get me in the air, so it is a proof of concept atmospheric ship. Sort of... I do feel like I made a little progress in knowing how to construct an atmospheric flying ship. Now all i need is it to be functional like a miner or at least a resource-finding scout ship. That would be nice!
I probably should have just used the drop pod as a framework for my first flying ship, but I like to do things the hard way. At least, that is what everyone tells me, including me. The ship has some thrusters, a battery, and a cockpit... Oh, my! With that, I get airborne. But not by much. And I definitely need to work on my landings because so far, I haven't achieved a successful landing, which is a slightly important part of flying. Or so I'm told.
