I never played this game, because it was never released in the U.S.A.. This game was released only in Europe. Space Gun was a very popular arcade game in early 1990s. It was made by Taito, the company that brought you Operation Wolf. Operation Wolf was the first gallery shooter, just like Wolfenstein 3d was the first 1st person shooter. Operation Wolf was a very successful game, and it was ported to many home computers, and video game consoles.

Space Gun was released 3 years after Operation Wolf made its debut. Taito released Operation Thunderbolt one year after Operation Wolf was released as well. I would have to say the arcade version of Space Gun had very good graphics, it was top notch in every respect. The scaling in the game was very good, the scaling when you move forward.

The Sega Master System version was very lacking. This usually happens when you port a 16 bit game onto a 8 bit console system. The characters in the game aren't to scale, they are way too small. In addition to that, when you move forward, it is a bit choppy. The enemies look insects, they don't look like aliens. Overall, if you bought this game back in 1992, you would be disappointed. I was disappointed when I bought Operation Wolf for the NES.
