Story:

In the year August 2000, the ISNA or International Space-Net Agency received an SOS signal from the Rainbow System, a star system of seven planets named after colours. They have already sent out several agents to help.

Apparently the Rainbow System is being attacked by a mysterious legion calling themselves the "Crackers".

To rescue the Rainbow System, it was decided to urgently recruit agents, and you play as a new agent. Your support is the commander assistant Agent Angie.

Each agent has their own seven character ID. The ISNA developed a spaceship called "Space-Net" with two builds, Cosmo Red and Cosmo Blue and the one you get depends on the game version, in this game, Cosmo Red.

From the cockpit, it allows users to do things like warp to different planets, view mail, their agent data, access the ISNA homepage and communicate with others players. The Space-Net's AI, a silver oval thing with eyes, three 'feet', and a single hair on its head welcomes the new agent and tells them how to use the Space-Net. It also lets you know when you have new mail.

There are similarities between this game and Sanrio Timenet. In fact, it's even like a spiritual sequel. This is because the same team who worked on Sanrio Timenet went to form a subsidiary of Imagineer that was a character development company called Timenet. The Old Man of Time returns in this game as an important character and Rex, known in Sanrio Timenet as the monster Rex Walker is a Crackers member, along with other frogs known as the 'Kero' based on the frog with a book Kerojirō with the frog on stilts Haihō.

Additionally, short jingles from Sanrio Timenet, including healing and getting a new party member; which was formally used for winning the Bike Race minigame returns in Space-Net Cosmo Red and Cosmo Blue.
