Spacegulls [NES Homebrew] || Nesdev Compo 2020
7A NES homebrew game submitted for Nesdev Compo 2020, made by Morphcat Games. A platformer where you play as a bird in space (a seagull in space: spacegulls). You make your way through stages by flapping your wings to fly, bounce on enemies to get rid of them, and explore a large space station on your quest to defeat the evil gull.
This game is very well done, and super fun to play. Morphcat Games really nails the movement, which arguably is the most important part of a platformer. The graphics and sound design is also very well done. This is also one of those submissions where it is hard to find anything to critique, the game is overall very well made, fun and just the right challenge. The fact it supports 2 players concurrent is also a super big plus. I am very impressed by this submission.
